Nottinghamshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs (YFC) has been supporting young people in the rural areas of the county for over 70 years now, and it held a birthday party for all those that have been a part of its history.

Over 300 people gathered where it all began at Brackenhurst College, Southwell. They were joined by current members, various past County Presidents, Life Members, and previous staff members, along with past County and National YFC Chairman turned Member of Parliament Mark Spencer, who welcomed everyone to the event.

The clubs had taken part in a bake off, Kate Pritchard of Lowdham YFC was crowned bake off champion with her unusual Apple cake, judged by baker of the huge YFC Birthday cake Rachel Hinchley.

Attendees enjoyed tea, cake and a natter whilst looking over old photos, chaff blowers and yearbooks, followed by a delicious hog roast by Pig Yourself Silly and Thaymars Ice Cream.
