Eddy & Daisy named Ambassadors

More than 350 people attended the Nottinghamshire YFC County Ball.

Awards for all four of the competitions were presented on Saturday night at Colwick Hall Hotel.

The Junior and Senior Member of the Year winners and runners up will now have the opportunity to compete on behalf of Nottinghamshire in the East Midlands Area round of the competitions in March.

County Development Officer, Lauren Clark said “It’s always said, but genuinely the standard of competitors was so high this year.”

“It was open field, and all the judges commented that all of the competitors would make great ambassadors for YFC”

After producing a presentation, CV and personal statement, the competitors were interviewed by the judges, Danielle Metcalf from Notts County Council and 2012 National Junior Member of the Year Evie Hoggard.

Tuxford member, and 2015 EMA Young Stockman of the Year Daisy Haigh was awarded the title Junior Member of the Year. Runner up was Emily Burke of Papplewick YFC and 3rd place was Kate Pritchard of Lowdham YFC.

Senior Member of the Year was a tight battle with only 1/2 a mark between first and second place, both are excellent ambassadors for YFC.

Eddy Allen of Collingham YFC and County Vice Chairman was awarded the title and runner up went to Tuxford Member and Show Chairman Will Hill.
