
The 71st County AGM took place on 20th October 2017, at the Lady Eastwood Building, Newark Showground, who also provided the delicious buffet.
Simon Bust, County President was in the chair for the evening and welcome all members and guests. Chris Brown, previously Southwell YFC and staff member was invited along to judge the Best and most promising speaker award.
Members did a great job of effectively proposing the elected members, and with some funny stories thrown in the night was a success. As ever newly elected officers were announced and awards were handed out.
The Newark Advertiser Trophy for the most points in County Competitions was awarded to Collingham YFC
The Nullis Trophy for most committed member was awarded to Callum Kendall, Lowdham YFC
The Michael Hollingworth Award for most kind and helpful to Ashleigh Overton, Southwell YFC
The President’s Award for her commitment to her role as Competitions Chairman was awarded to Ashley Armitage
A new award ‘Highly Commended’ was awarded to Josh Billyard, Caunton YFC
Alice Beckett retiring County Chairman was also awarded a momentum of her year in office.
Chris Brown awarded the best speaker to Will Hill, Tuxford YFC for his proposal of new County Chairman Eddy Allen, and most promising speaker for the second year running was awarded to Jessica Rose, Tuxford YFC for her resolution and proposal of Katie Gent for Rally Chairman.
