Nottinghamshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs attended a garden party hosted by Sir John Peace, the Lord Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire in June.
Many voluntary organisations attended the event, which was to celebrate the tremendous volunteering work that takes place in Nottinghamshire. None more so than the hard work and dedication carried out by members of Notts YFC.
Sir John Peace awarded Nottinghamshire YFC with the Lord Lieutenants Award for promoting voluntary service, in recognition of the outstanding service to the local communities and the significant benefit this makes to the lives of others.
The award was collected by Callum Kendall, County Chairman, Lauren Clark, County Development Officer along with members Daisy Haigh and George Lees.
“We feel very honoured to be recognised in this way for the dedication our members have to there volunteering, many volunteer hours of their time whilst also in full time work or education” Said County Chairman, Callum Kendall.
