Welcome to National Young Farmers Week…..
In Nottinghamshire we kicked off last Friday with the first YFC party of the year, at our Autumn Dance, hosted at the ever popular Southwell Rugby Club. It was a great fundraiser, great atmosphere and their were some great dance moves!
Clubs have been busy with their weekly meetings, which this week have mainly taken the shape of various bonfires and firework displays across the county.
Tonight their off to their Show and Rally Committee meeting, where they’ll start planning for the 2016 events. YFC really do, do it best and these two events are a great showcase of what YFC members can do, and get involved in. We’ll still be celebrating YFC long after this week has ended (every week is Young Farmers Week here) we’ll be at the first ever Farmers Day at Southwell Racecourse on Monday, and doing some club officer training over at NTU Brackenhurst on Thursday evening.
There’s been some great coverage over this Young Farmers Week, check out the #yfcdoitbest #morethantractors plus NFYFC Facebook, YFC Clothing have made some great videos and Farmers Weekly and Scott Mills have been shouting about us too!
