A Nottinghamshire Young Farmer from the Southwell Club has just been announced as the National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs Junior Member of the Year.

Evie Hoggard, 15, from Halam was announced as the winner at the National final on Saturday 13th October at The Staffordshire Showground.

Back in October 2011 Evie won the Nottinghamshire round of the competition and became Notts YFC’s Junior Member of the Year, she then went on to represent the County at the East Midlands Area round in March, which was held in Skegness. Evie impressed the judges with her passion and enthusiasm for the organisation and her positive outlook on life, after the formal interviews took place, Evie successfully saw off the competition and was named the winner, East Midlands Area Junior Member of the Year.

Following on from her success Evie has been part of The National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs Youth Forum, was shortlisted for a 4Uth Outstanding Achievement Award and has applied to be a member of Youth Parliament.

Evie attended the National finals where she’d submitted a curriculum vitae and prepared a presentation based on the experiences she had gained over the last 12 months, a formal interview with the judges followed.

Her Skills and Attributes set her out from the other competitors and it’s hard not to be captured by Evie’s enthusiasm, love for life and caring and passionate personality. We couldn’t be prouder that Evie has been given the title in recognition for all she has done.

All at Nottinghamshire Young Farmers would like to congratulate Evie on her achievements.
