Sammy Allen, of Collingham YFC represented Nottinghamshire in the national final of the sewing competition.
The competition is designed to encourage members to develop their creative, design and handicraft skills, the outcomes of which are sewing, making up garments creativity, imagination and pleasure/fun of participating in local handicraft show classes.
Sammy made a pair of oven gloves and an apron, which was initially judged at the Nottinghamshire County Show, where she won, and qualified for the national final.
The national final held at the beginning of July, saw over 40 competitors enter the competition, but, we’re pleased to announce that Sammy put Notts on the map by finishing in 3rd place, huge congratulations.
